Christy and Company established a hat manufacturing business in London in 1773. Now headquartered in Oxfordshire, they still make all kinds of caps and hats for men and women, using the brand name Christys’ London and plenty of red satin inside. Always pragmatic, this UK company now makes many of its hats in China, a fact which is not always popular with customers. Among many other claims to fame is that the company supplied hats for the first 3 seasons of TV series ‘Peaky Blinders’, causing a resurgence in popularity for the iconic Newsboy Cap. Their sporty Trilbys and characteristic, low-crown Bowlers are also highly regarded.
